In Rajasthan the camel is never just an animal. At weddings and fairs it is dressed the way a bride is — beaded collar, tasselled saddle cloth, mirror work catching the sun across the dunes. Generations of families have kept that craft alive in the same villages, stitching by hand what the desert never gave them in colour.

The back panel carries a camel in full ceremonial dress, framed by a jharokha arch with a fort on the horizon. Every element is embroidered — the beaded neck chain, the tasselled fringe, the layered geometry of the saddle blanket in indigo, madder and gold. The chest carries a sunburst above the line the whole piece is built around.

Built on 240 GSM cotton terry with a drop-shoulder oversized fit. Bio-washed and silicone-finished, so it arrives soft and stays that way.

Why Embroidery, Not Print

A print sits on the fabric. Embroidery becomes part of it. There is nothing to crack, peel or fade at the edges after twenty washes, and the raised thread catches light the way real mirror work does on a saddle cloth. The tassels hang free of the fabric. It takes far longer to produce and costs considerably more to make, which is exactly why almost nobody attempts this level of detail on a tee.

Styling

Built for earth tones — sand, rust, khaki, washed brown. Works as easily with tailored trousers as with baggy denim, and the off white base keeps the artwork as the only thing asking for attention.

• Machine wash cold, inside out — always
• Do not bleach
• Do not iron directly on the embroidery
• Line dry in shade; avoid tumble drying to protect the stitchwork and tassels
